Service Description
This approach takes traditional forms of psychotherapy along with empirically based therapeutic exercise into the natural world. Once a person's therapy goals are properly assessed, the two hour outdoor session will be tailored to one's objectives. Wilderness therapy often includes forest therapy elements of mindfulness, deep reflection as well as experiential exercises such as mandala making or a letting go ritual. If one is working through bereavement issues, it is common to use nature as solace as well as a healing force. Appropriate Clients Who: Experience a lot of stress and anxiety and need the solace of nature to replenish - Want to hit the reset button of daily life and experience a sense of groundedness - Are moving through a life transition feel lost on their current journey or have lost sight of their vision for their life are in the process of grieving and want the nurturing support of nature - Feel most alive and happy outdoors and who want to build a deeper relationship with nature *Insurance does not cover wilderness therapy. *Cost excludes 1-hour Zoom session to outline therapy goals.
Cancellation Policy
CNIT reserves the right to cancel any event due to insufficient enrollment or extreme weather. If CNIT cancels an event, all registrants will be notified and all registration fees will be fully refunded. Full payment is required at the time of registration. Unless noticed differently for a specific event, 5 days' notice is required for a full refund minus a 10% processing fee if you need to withdraw for personal reasons. NO refunds for no-shows or last-minute withdrawals (within 5 days of the program) We appreciate your interest in CNIT events and hope to see you soon.
