About the Course

After completion of our mental health first aid training in Towson, Monkton, or Owings Mills, your staff will have the knowledge and skills to support someone struggling with their mental health or in crisis that occurs in an outdoor setting . They will be able to spot the signs of a range of mental illnesses and support the person to get the help they need, using a clear and defined step by step process. Learning objectives from our mental health first aid training in Towson, Monkton, and Owings Mills include: Increased knowledge of signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental health challenges, Increased confidence in their ability and likelihood to help an individual in distress, Increased comfort in their ability to identify multiple types of professional and self-help resources for individuals with mental illness and  Improved mental wellness for themselves. This workshop will include the creation of  a psychological first aid kit or a plan that, and incorporate practices that are known to support and mitigate traumatic stress in real time.
